Hidden Message: I Loved You Before I Met You
Swift penned the title track from her second album Fearless while on tour. Although she wasn’t dating anyone at the time, she says the song describes “the fearlessness of falling in love. No matter how many break up songs you write you will always fall in love again.” The song is based on the concept of the perfect first date and the way the right person can make you feel. Taylor says, “This is the song about the best first date I haven’t had yet.” The lyrics from this song also served to inspire the title of the album, embodying the feeling that she hoped to have accompanying the album’s release.
