What originally began as a talent show success, Our Song evolved into a worldwide phenomenon. After penning the anthem in just twenty minutes, Taylor Swift admitted she “just knew there was something about it.” Meant to describe her relationship with ex-boyfriend Brandon Borello (who also inspired Tim McGraw), Swift says about the song, “I wrote it about this guy I was dating (Borello), and how we didn’t have a song. So I went ahead and wrote us one.” Our Song shows up last on her debut album because of her request to “play it again.”
